Loraas Disposal

The Town of Lafleche is no longer engaging in garbage pickup; all pickup will be done through Loraas. If there are any issues, please feel free to contact the office.

Snow Removal Policy Update

At the November 2025 Regular Meeting of Council, the Snow Removal Policy Schedule ‘B’ was updated to add certain alleys used as primary access or emergency egress to Priority 2. As the snow has started flying, the updated Schedule is on page 2 of this  newsletter to encourage awareness of the Town’s priorities for snow clearing. Priority 1 roads are to be cleared within 48 hours of snowfall and Priority 2 roads are to be cleared within 96 hours of snowfall, unless unusual circumstances or additional snowfall accumulates, in which case the Town Foreman will adjust as deemed necessary.

Animal Control Bylaw No. 536-25

At the December 2025 Regular Meeting of Council, the Animal Control Bylaw was passed. Dogs and cats are required to be registered annually with the Town Office by the end of January; if registered after January 31, penalties may apply. The Animal Control Bylaw allows owners to register up to 4 of each (dogs and cats), and includes a form to submit to request an exception for more. Letters requesting renewal of registration will be sent out to those with animals registered in 2025 and prior.

The Town of Lafleche Municipal Office & Public Works Department will be closed on the following days:
